Remediation Solutions

IEG Technologies UK Ltd works with consultants and contractors or direct
for property owners, to provide comprehensive and effective in situ and
sustainable solutions to simple and complex soil and groundwater contamination problems alike.
IEG works with clients and their advisers from the outset of a project to formulate
an effective strategy and remediation concept for contaminated sites based on a pragmatic and technically
defensible approach.
With an extensive range of proven and patented technologies
in our armoury, we can ensure that the best available technique is matched with
your site’s individual specific geoenvironmental and contamination profile.
Turnkey Solutions
When we are called upon to provide a specialist turnkey design and
contracting service to problem holders, our remediation technology systems are
offered on a guaranteed fixed capital payment basis, irrespective of remediation
duration. Alternatively, we can offer flexible staged terms to meet the
requirements of a client’s budget.
Equipment Hire
We also provide a design and equipment rental service to contractors with a
need for a complete in situ system as part of a bespoke design or elements of
our patented above-ground treatment technologies to maximise the performance of
their existing remediation schemes.
Mobile Treatment Licences
IEG's remediation technologies are now licensable under the Environment Agency's Mobile Treatment Licencing regime,
Specifically, IEG's systems are afforded the benefit of the standard shell licence scheme, with technologies falling into the following EA-defined categories: -
1. Air Sparging
2. Bioremediation - in situ and ex situ (including windrows, biopiles, in-vessel bioreactors)
3. Biosparging
4. Bioventing
5. Chemical Treatment (including oxidation, dehalogenation)
6. Soil Vapour Extraction (including dual phase SVE)
7. Soil Flushing
10. Solvent Extraction
In addition, due to its unique capabilities not defined elsewhere, our Groundwater Circulation Well™ technology is licensable under the terms of a bespoke MTL.
The new improved MTL approach adopted in April 2006 now allows IEG to use several pieces of mobile plant, either singly or in combination, at
the same time on different sites. In this respect, the Environment Agency for England and Wales has a reciprocal agreement with the
Scottish Environmental Protection Agency to allow depoloyment in Scotland.
Prior to commencement of site operations, IEG will agree a "deployment form" with our national EA account manager, providing all required site specific information.
Insurance
IEG offers fully insured remediation solutions and we can offer a range of cover to meet the
requirements of an individual project and budget. We offer £1million PII
and Contractors All Risks cover as standard, the former coming without any standard pollution exclusion.
We also offer flexible Contractors Pollution Liability (CPL) cover which is designed to cover all
pollution liabilities arising from the undertaking of a contract, including mobilisation of any
pre-existing contamination, Third Party Liability for Bodily Injury and Property Damage, whether
sudden and accidental or gradual in nature.
This also covers any new contamination introduced during a remediation contract - for example an
accidental diesel spillage or leakage from an on site bowser or storage tank, or say an effluent leakage
or spillage.
Policies are written in two parts - the contract phase to match the time we are actually on site
undertaking the contract, followed by an extended reporting phase after completion of any remediation
contract (known as "completed operations") that can be as long as 5 years but is more typically 9 to 24 months.
