IEG Granular Activated Carbon Adsorbent Systems

  • Patented design - proven engineering
  • Quicker, Smaller, Smarter, Greener
  • IEG's specially designed and patented Granular Activated Carbon recovery systems (IEG GAC-Sorb™) provide superior adsorption capacity due to an innovative system for the distribution of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from contaminated off gas. Highly efficient in design and effective in operation, the largest of the systems, the 3000 litre, is capable of receiving and treating up to a maximum of 2350 m3/h of highly contaminated air, with a typical loading of up to 350 kg.

    IEG GAC-Sorb System

All IEG GAC-Sorb™ systems are capable of extended operation due to the high-efficiency of the patented IEG internal air flow distribution system providing reliable and cost effective VOC adsorption capability minimising the need for regular system changeover. Adsorbtion capacity is further enhanced when used in conjunction with one of IEG's innovative in situ remediation systems. When required, used systems are replaced on-site with new units with minimal system downtime. Spent carbon is sent for reactivation in a controlled state-of-the-art recovery process, minimising environmental pollution.

  • Advantages

  • Simple, modular construction design; can be retrofitted to existing extraction systems.
  • Low profile system, no tower packing required.
  • Self-contained system in insulated enclosure, complete with control panel and hook-ups.
  • Easy installation, easily moved.
  • The system produces dry off-gas (negative pressure stripping does not require conditioning of the off-air).
  • Dry off-gas permits optimal use of the adsorption capacity of Granular Activated Carbon.
  • The IEG GAC-Sorb™ system is simple to install and with its modular construction design can be retrofitted to existing in situ remediation extraction systems.

Available in a range of sizes to suit all applications, the system is available to hire at competitive rates, from as little as £52.50 per week!

The IEG GAC-Sorb™ method is a process patented by IEG.
